How can I place buildings in my city?
To place buildings in your city, you first need to enter
Build Mode, which can be accessed from the bottom left side of the screen.
The Building Menu displays all structures that are currently available for construction. These are grouped into categories such as residential, production, goods, cultural, decorative, and military buildings. From this menu, you can also place city expansions to increase the size of your city. More detailed information about the different building types can be found in the related articles.
When the Building Menu is active, three additional action buttons appear below the Forge Points bar:
Sell,
Move, and
Cancel. These buttons allow you to manage existing buildings or exit building mode.
How to place a building in the city?
To construct a building, open the Building Menu and select the category of the building you wish to place. For example, to build a multi-story house, open the
Residential tab to view all available residential buildings. Select the desired building and drag it to the location in your city where you want to place it.
How to move a building?
To move a building, click the
Move button, then select the building you want to relocate. Drag it to the new position and click once to place it there.
How to sell a building?
To sell a building, click the
Sell button and then select the building you wish to remove. You will be asked to confirm the action before the building is permanently sold.
How to build a road?
To build roads, select the desired road type from the Building Menu. Place the first segment at the starting point in your city, then drag the cursor to the intended end point. A green preview line will appear
— click once at the end point to confirm and construct the road.
How to place an expansion?
To place a city expansion, click on one of the available expansion fields surrounding your city. Select the expansion and choose the payment option, if applicable. Drag the expansion to the desired location. All expansions are 4×4 tiles and must be placed adjacent to another 4×4 area with correctly aligned corners.
How to reconstruct your city?
Reconstruction Mode provides a convenient way to reorganize your entire city layout. Note: this feature becomes available after researching the
Mathematics technology in the Iron Age.
In order to activate the
Reconstruction Mode, click on the Building menu and then on the Reconstruct button

on top.
Once activated,
Reconstruction Mode opens a dedicated interface that allows you to rearrange buildings more efficiently or redesign your city from scratch. At the top of the screen, a control bar provides three main options: moving individual buildings, temporarily storing buildings for easier rearrangement, or exiting Reconstruction Mode.
On top of your window you have a bar with three different buttons, that allow you to
move single buildings,
put buildings in a temporary stash for easier re-arrangement or
leave the mode.
By clicking the
Store button

, you activate storage mode, which allows you to temporarily place buildings into a storage area. To store multiple buildings at once, hold the left mouse button and drag over them. All stored buildings will appear in the Reconstruction Menu on the left side of the screen.
Once buildings are stored, you can place them again directly from the Reconstruction Menu on the left. This process works the same way as placing buildings from the regular Building Menu — simply select a building and place it in the desired location.
To save your changes in
Reconstruction Mode, all buildings must be placed back into the city. If any buildings remain unplaced, the changes cannot be saved. To discard all changes and restore your original city layout, click the red
Revert
button. While Reconstruction Mode is active, building timers continue to run normally and are not paused. Moving buildings in this mode does not reset their production timers. Other players will continue to see your previous city layout and can still motivate or polish your buildings until the changes are saved.
Currently, it is not possible to place buildings from your inventory while in
Reconstruction Mode, nor can buildings be permanently deleted or stored there, as these actions must be performed outside of Reconstruction Mode.
