How do event rankings and event leaderboards work?
Ranking events & Allied culturesIn some events, you can earn ranking points by completing specific event actions.
For example, in weekly Allied Culture events, you earn ranking progress by filling

crates with Culture City resources, such as Silk in China. These crates help upgrade a specific Wonder in your event city, such as the Great Wall.

In seasonal events, ranking progress is usually based on spending event currency to receive rewards.
This increases your

Grand Prize Progress.

Based on your current progress, you are placed in a league with other players who have a similar score. League rewards are awarded automatically after the event ends, based on your final progress and placement.
Leagues are decided as follows:
The top 1% of players receive the Gold reward.
The top 5% of players receive the Silver reward.
The top 20% of players receive the Bronze reward.
The top 50% of players receive the Amateur reward.
All participants with at least 1 point receive the Hobby reward.
You will only receive the reward for the highest category you qualify for. For example, if you qualify for the Gold reward, you will not receive the Silver, Bronze, or Amateur rewards.
Please note that
ranking requirements will change during the event. As more players earn progress, the amount needed to stay in a certain league will increase.
Leaderboard events & Competitions
Some events and sub-events also have their own leaderboards based on collected

Trophy Points.
In these events, only the top-ranking players, for example the top 10 players, receive special leaderboard rewards.
These rewards are given on top of the individual rewards you can earn during the event.
