Chapter XII - Elementals

The Elementals are an ancient and mystical race originating from another dimension. Their raw connection to the powers of fire, water, air, and earth gives them immense strength — but also a lack of stability. To take on a defined form and interact with others, they rely on enchanted masks, which bind their elemental forces and allow them to assume a humanoid shape.

These masks are essential for their cultural identity and survival. However, the Elementals lack the ability to create them on their own. In the past, they lived in symbiosis with the Elvenar, the god-like ancestors of your people, who crafted the masks for them. In return, the Elementals used their power to help the Elvenar build magnificent cities and formidable armies — a partnership no other race dared to challenge.

Every few centuries, the Elementals return to Elvenar to renew their masks and reaffirm their alliance. That’s why they suddenly appear in your city, assuming you are the Ancient Elvenar. But when they realize that you are not, they become deeply concerned for their future.

In response, they decide to establish a Settlement in your city. Their goal is to assist you in recovering the lost knowledge of your ancestors — not only to ensure your progress, but also their own survival.

As part of your collaboration, the Elementals introduce a major advancement: the production of Sentient Goods. They teach you how to infuse Basic Goods (Marble, Steel, and Planks) with Divine Seeds, creating their Sentient versions — an essential step for advancing through the Research Tree.

Future guest races will continue to expand this technique, but it all begins here.

Unlike previous chapters, Settlement Buildings in the Elementals chapter are unlocked and upgraded level by level, reflecting the Elementals' gradual mastery over their unstable forms. As you progress:

• Their shapeless elemental energy takes form
• Structures evolve from chaotic shapes into stable buildings
• Visual storytelling brings their transformation to life

This progression offers a unique narrative experience: you’ll witness the Elementals regaining control over their essence, one step at a time.
