The Halflings are immediately alarmed - this scene is all too familiar to them. They’ve seen this kind of devastation before… just before their race nearly vanished.
Before long, mysterious figures emerge from the monument. They introduce themselves as the Amuni, an ancient and highly advanced civilization devoted to Bastet, their revered cat-like deity. Confident, proud, and deeply convinced of their cultural superiority, the Amuni believe their survival and your presence prove that their way of life ultimately triumphed over the Elvenar.
